Tasting Notes

Sourced from two vineyards. One neighbouring Clos des Mouches and the other on the border of Pommard. It combines the delicacy of a Beaune with the power of a Pommard. Beautiful red ruby colour with bright sheen. Bright nose of red and black fruits – cherry, raspberry and blackberry. The first impressions are fleshy fruits with a clear cut of fresh acidity but firm tannin builds in the mouth without being coarse. Fresh and lively, but refined at the same time. There is a fullness and volume to the wine with hints of power.

Organic agriculture. Handpicked with strict grape sorting in the vineyard and at the winery. 30% whole bunch. Fermentation for 15 days in stainless steel tank, no pigeage, pumping over twice a day until the end of fermentation. 15 months in oak; 15% new barrels. Bottled unfiltered. - Winery Note
