Tasting Notes

Bright ruby colour with garnet edges. An attractive perfume of rose petals, raspberry and wild plum, dried blood and a hint of liquorice. The palate is fresh though firmly structured, berry fruits dusted with sweet spice, some aniseed and menthol there as well, all wrapped in a net of ripe tannin. Give it a few years for maximum enjoyment. (Fruit drawn from 7 separate vineyards in Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba, 2 years ageing in large botti.) 93pts - Stephen Blandford for The Real Review

Deep, spicy red-fruit character on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied and firm, so give it a couple of years to open up. There’s a lot under the surface. Try from 2024. 92pts - James Suckling
