This is slightly riper and offers a really beguiling mix of red raspberry and hints of black cherry, violets and a touch of spice that introduces fresh, pure and textured medium full flavors underpinned by a seriously complex and persistent finish. Like the Champeaux, this does a slow build from the mid-palate back to the explosive finish. There is not quite as mineral-infused but it's more complex and slightly firmer. A choice. Allen Meadows
