Fresh nougat, nutty aromas, Amontillado notes, some yeasty complexity and cranberry fruits. Richly flavoured, creamy textured wine with lovely developed candied fruits, mid-palate density and mineral length. Great balance between complexity and freshness. Dosage perfect! I thought it fine and fresh, with red fruit and pastry in its bouquet. Very light coral-pink colour, not a rosé by name perhaps but the appearance is at least taché. Straw, oyster-shell and faintly strawberry-ish aromas, very pinoty, while the palate is rich and full, firm and intense, with pinoty structure and grip, but the tannins are well judged. The finish is long and very dry: a serious food wine with a lip-smacking follow-through. -94pts, Huon Hooke
