Tasting Notes

Mid yellow colour with a complex and alluring bouquet of toasty bread, croissant, short-crust pastry and the palate is big and full, voluminous, with a firmness and dryness thanks to lively acidity and plenty of well-judged phenolics. Lemon and honey later. A robust, powerful, emphatic style of Champagne with stacks of flavour. A great food wine and could be cellaring a little longer although it's excellent now. Impressive wine. -97pts, Huon Hooke

Made only in an exceptional vintage, from a unique harvest, the D Millésimé champagne is made up of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, selected from the best plots. It is matured for a further 7 years, revealing all its complexity on the nose and on the palate. The nose is discreet and fresh with aromas of dried and candied fruits such as apricots and citrus. This wine presents a lot of aromatic complexity and reveals chocolate, blond tobacco and roasted notes. A tonic mouthfeel and a juicy impression reminiscent of citrus fruits give a fresh and creamy sensation. The length in the mouth finishes with an elegant minerality.
