Tasting Notes

♥ OUTSTANDING - BURGHOUND | Deep red colour with a tinge of purple. The bouquet is rich, concentrated and oaky, the palate full-bodied, serious and impressive. There's a lot of tannins but they're good tannins. A long-term wine, big, but it also possesses 'pinosity'. It pushes oak to the extreme, however. It will improve but it needs time for the oak to soften and mellow. A real grand cru pretender. Huon Hooke
