Tasting Notes

9 trophies & 12 gold medals in national wine shows - The colour is so dense that it stains the glass as the wine is swirled, signalling a wine which is massive and powerful in every respect. The aromas and flavours are somewhere between a Shiraz and a Cabernet Sauvignon in character, having many of the dark berry /blackcurrant and mulberry flavours of Cabernet but the soft structure of Shiraz. As is the case with so many show reserve wines, the oak contribution is substantial, and the wine really needs to be tamed with ten years bottle age. James Halliday
