It's a superb wine. Maybe the oak is fractionally too heavy but the wine is very young, and balance will be restored in time. I'm confident of it. This is loaded with cherry-plum fruit, awash with spice, cedary, smoky, firm and long. It has star quality and it puts on a star turn. The spiral of dry, flavour-splashed length here is quite fantastic. Onwards we charge. Campbell Mattinson.
