Here too the wood treatment is not subtle though it does not dominate the very ripe plum, spice, earth, Asian spice and floral scents. I very much like the texture of the powerful, sappy and concentrated flavors that deliver outstanding length on the highly complex finale where the wood displayed by the nose resurfaces. The generous oak is a mild concern though my range implicitly assumes that it will eventually be absorbed over time. Allen Meadows
