Obviously a very mature wine but, less obviously, from a fairly average vintage. Forest floor, Bovril, beef tea savoury characters underpinned by vestiges of berry fruit. Rich and appealing wine with coffee/mocha and some sweet oak. Still retaining a good tannic backbone.
