Mild reduction pushes the fruit to the background but I doubt that it will last. Otherwise there is excellent size, weight and intensity to the tautly muscular, precise and powerful big-bodied flavors that also flash an interesting hint of citrus character on the very tightly wound finish. Like several of the wines in the range this is going to require at least some bottle age to unwind and flesh out as this is quite linear and youthfully austere today. Allen Meadows
