Medium-deep red with a good tint of purple and good clarity; the bouquet is fresh and sweetly jubey, attractive and varietal, driven by its raspberry-jelly fruit. In the mouth it is medium-full bodied, with very gentle tannins, a fruit-sweet core and excellent ready drinkability. Traces of spices and earthy notes, the palate shape taut, compact and very long. A graceful, easy grenache of lovely balance, not a try-hard. Huon Hooke
