Tasting Notes

Striking colour; deep and pure, intense to the edge. Rich, black fruit aromas jump from the glass, with spicy oak playing a supporting role. It's power is more fully felt on the palate, where deep layers of flavour vie for attention with the vice-like grip of the tannin, and it's probably about a draw. Really a little impenetrable now, but it's unequivocally built for the future. - 95pts, Steven Creber for James Halliday's Wine Companion
