Tasting Notes

With no straight cabernet this vintage, this ends up as 70/30% cabernet/malbec. While shiraz and malbec are good friends, cabernet and malbec are lovers. This is the wine that smells of Wendouree: the bush, the winery and the vineyards resplendent with gnarly centenarian and ‘younger' vines. Plush, ripe fruit, all currant and blackberry accented, perfumed with aniseed, wild herbs and dark chocolate studded with mint. Lovely tannins and time on its side. If you can wait. If you can get some. - 96pts, Critic Name
