Tasting Notes

The chooks are hand-raised from the outset with the first birth in 08, and only six vintages have been reared and released. The vines were planted in '60, the wine matured in French oak (40% new). The texture is freakishly good, the juicy black fruits with a crosscut of superfine tannins and cedary French oak. It is only medium-bodied, but has a nigh-on unlimited future. - 97pts, James Halliday
